NEXT MEETING All of our 2008 meetings are held on MONDAYS at 7.30pm except the AGM which starts at 6.30pm. There is a map to Wilpshire here and the Church Hall here and directions from the M6 junction 31 & M65 junction 6 below. Our group meetings in 2008 are: Mon 21st January 2008 Mon 17th March 2008 (AGM) Mon 19th May 2008 Mon 21st July 2008 Mon 15th September 2008 Mon 17th November 2008 (Jacob's Join) Meetings are also publicised in various local newspapers and on local radio. Please come along, whether you are a member or not, with a friend/carer if you like. There is a guest speaker at most meetings followed by tea, coffee and biscuits afterwards (there is a £1 charge for this to cover costs). There is also a growing library of books and leaflets which members can borrow/return after meetings. DIRECTIONS FROM M65 JUNCTION 6 Leave the M65 at junction 6 and take the dual carriageway and continue past Westwood Garages on your left and a retail park (MFI and Currys are most visible) on your right. Follow this dual carriageway through a number of traffic lights, a 40mph sign, and then when you see 30mph signs at Brownhill take the right hand lane and turn right into the A666 Whalley New Road. Follow this past the Bull's Head pub (on your left) at a set of traffic lights and continue round various bends until you reach the Wilpshire Hotel Pub at a set of traffic lights in Wilpshire centre. This is a peculiar junction and you bear left down a slope onto Ribchester Road (it is signposted Ribchester). Continue along this road and just before you reach the first turning on the right, Somerset Road, the Wilpshire Methodist Church Hall is on your left. There is usually ample parking alongside. FROM M6 JUNCTION 31 (SALMESBURY TURN-OFF) Leave the M6 at junction 31 and take the A59 signposted towards Blackburn. At the Swallow Hotel (formerly Trafalgar Hotel) traffic lights turn left and continue on the A59 past Salmesbury airfield (BAE Systems) on your right. Go straight ahead at the roundabout at Mellor Brook on the A59, ignoring signposts for Blackburn, and continue on the A59, going through Osbaldeston and passing a Little Chef and Shajan Restaurant on the left, until you reach a crossroads and traffic lights signposted to Ribchester on the left and Wilpshire on the right. Turn right and drive up the hill and through Salesbury until you pass a church and green on the left. The Wilpshire Methodist Church Hall is shortly beyond this on your right hand side just after Beech Close. There is usually ample parking alongside.
