Welcome to the East Lancs ME/CFS Support Group online. We are a registered charity (number 1106378) which is one of over 400 self-help, non-profit-making groups which span the country. Our Group was founded in 1989 and is run mainly by volunteers - most of whom suffer from ME themselves.

Currently the group has around 130 members from all walks of life, of both sexes, and ranging in all ages. Their carers also play a vital role.

The district served by our Group includes:

  • Blackburn
  • Burnley
  • Darwen
  • Hyndburn
  • Pendle
  • Ribble Valley
  • Rossendale

The Group's meetings are held bi-monthly, for help, support and friendship. Speakers also come along to the meetings, the subjects ranging from benefits advice to relaxation classes. The meetings are very informal and relaxed.

The Group can also provide information on many related matters including where to obtain assistance with Benefit claims and filling in forms such as Incapacity Benefit and Disability Living Allowance applications.
