Any word Exact phrase Welcome to the East Lancs ME/CFS Online Resource. We are an online support service for people with ME/CFS and related conditions and their families, carers and friends. We cover the following areas: Blackburn/Darwen Burnley Hyndburn Pendle Ribble Valley Rossendale The website provides information on many matters related to ME including where to obtain assistance with benefits claims and filling in forms such as Employment and Support Allowance (for new claimants), Incapacity Benefit/Income Support (for existing claimants) and Disability Living Allowance (for those under 60 at the time of claiming). NB in late 2008 the East Lancs ME/CFS Support Group, whose webmaster (himself with moderate ME) founded this website, announced plans to amalgamate with the Central Lancashire ME/CFS Support Group. These plans are underway and have been passed by the Charity Commission and an EGM of the Central Lancashire ME/CFS Support Group but there are a few formalities to complete before the merger goes ahead. We would refer all people with ME and their carers who wish to attend meetings and receive a newsletter to join the Central Lancashire ME/CFS Support Group. This currently costs 8 pounds per year minimum donation but no donation is needed in cases of financial hardship. The membership form is on their website (see link above). All members of the East Lancs ME/CFS Support Group will be asked if they wish to join the Central Lancashire ME/CFS Support Group.
